Where ya flyin’? (I presume you’re in an airport if you’re drinking at a bar before 10AM)
Also, what IPA?

Well according to that dude in the movie COCKTAIL....beer IS for breakfast, ya know

Is this IPA properly aged?
Because so many small breweries want to pile on the hops without aging and it leaves the beers with a flavor profile of “Coors Light full of lemon zest and ground up aspirin.”

You can’t ‘drink all day’ if you don’t start in the morning.
Well done.

I challenge you to find more than 10 people in the palm springs airport under the age of 50. Employees do not count.

Yep, Sweetwater IPA is a prime example of a shallow, unbalanced, but very drinkable version (I think you get that in NC, it's from Altanta). It got me interested in IPAs, but now I'm more of a Lagunitas guy — everything they make is solid gold. Double so now that they have a Chicago brewery and it doesn't all have to ship from CA.

The Noon Rule is there for a reason. Please abide by it (unless you're on vacation, then have two).

Not if you’re at a SEC school... I’ve been walking to grab breakfast on gamedays and have seen grown men blacked out already. Anywhere from 9-10 am.

It’s late evening somewhere in the world.

In the summer I’d rather have a pale ale shandy or maybe a witbier.
Wintertime is time for big, malty, dark beers.
IPA isn’t really my thing but I’ve had some that I thoroughly enjoyed.

I’m more like “IPA in the summer, double IPA in the winter" :D (plus some other stuff, but yeah)

You be crazy about aging hops. Hops aren’t what you want to age. Unless you hate the flavor of hops and just like bitter.

The IPA, when properly aged, has a rich, citrusy flavor with a hoppy finish. It’s because they loaded the hops for a long, hot boat ride to India. When brewers just bottle it immediately it tastes like garbage.

I see you are taking about English Style IPAs and in that case you wouldn’t use alot of late addition hops when brewing, you also won’t Dry hop it. The flavors you describe as disliking are from a different style of IPA, an American Style, Which no longer needs to go over the ocean to India. American Style IPA use a lot of later addition hops to the boil and the best ones are dry-hop as well for more aroma. The less time hops spend it the boil the less bitter they are, the more citrus and fruity notes come out. If you age these beers you lose the entire point of late addtion hops and dry hops, aroma is the first thing to go when aging hops....It should be noted we have several “American Style” IPAs, East Coast and West Coast, East Coast IPA Traditionally taste more like English IPAs, West coast IPAs take everything I said above about American IPA’s to the extream.
